MicTester allows users to capture the digital signal from the microphone channel. This signal is visualized and can be zoomed in to inspect individual samples or saved as a .csv file for further analysis.

Moreover, MicTester serves as a Real-Time Analyzer (RTA), offering a precise audio spectral analysis of the signal. Automatic detection of musical notes facilitates pitch identification, aiding in tuning musical instruments or refining vocal skills.

Similar to an oscilloscope, MicTester incorporates a trigger circuit for capturing single pulses or non-repetitive sequences effortlessly. Additionally, MicTester functions as a sound level meter, enabling the measurement of A-Weighted Sound Pressure Levels per IEC61672.

The application supports various sources (MIC, CAMCORDER, VOICE COMMUNICATION, VOICE RECOGNITION) and can operate in stereo mode on devices with two internal microphones. MicTester is compatible with Bluetooth microphones utilizing an SCO data link and can analyze WAV signals (16/24 bit) streamed through TCP/IP.

If your smartphone is equipped with an accelerometer, MicTester facilitates vibration analysis at infrasonic frequencies.
